Rated in Oct. 2010. On tap at CCB pouring up peach/apricot juice hazy copper with white head. The aroma is smooth peach and plum fruitiness with bold sharp jabs of spicy and slightly funky yeastiness slicing through at will. It almost gets chalky dry in places. Overall a nice full fruity/tart/funky aroma. The taste is sort of plum and peach fruity sweetness quickly becoming tart, under ripe peach and plum fruit skin tannin tartness, dehydrated fuzzy apricot chunks and yeasty spicy tartness. I was hoping it would be funkier and more barnyard but this fresh it really comes up far short. Would love to try it with some age.
