Rated in Sept. 2010. On tap at Fruit in the Room at Cigar City Brewing. Pours mildly hazy deep gold with off white head. The aroma is tart to begin with and has a slight tart chemical sense to it and then sort of funkiness, nail polish, a modest level of sweet vague fruitiness in the background. The taste begins mildly tart and mildly drying and refreshing. It then begins to pick up sour and funky like notes toward midway. As it warms the sour and funk is revealed as seeming like moldy grapefruit, warm sour grapefruit, over ripe pineapple cubes that have been dropped in a wet sidewalk/gutter (love it!). It has a nice refreshing dry finish. This is an excellent refreshing highly drinkable hot weather brew.
