Rated Nov. 2009. Growler pour courtesy of markwise. Pours hazy brown-gold with modest opacity and white head. The aroma is full and quite yummy with guava tropical fruitiness, some modest smooth pepper notes, newly ripe cherry fruit must, raisins and spices like cinnamon. Wow. Cool flavor. The taste begins with a mild pulse of guava fruit and malt sweetness followed by wavy undulating tall earthiness. Those notes get accompanied by berry fruitiness, grainy malts and assorted spices. I love the nearly bright near ripe red berriness mixing with gludgy wet earthiness. Very cool, very different, very refreshing and very good.
