Rating from 2008. Pours orange with viscosity and quickly dissipating tan head. The aroma is huge thick rich pumpkin goodness. Smells like a slice of fresh baked pie. Around the edges of the aroma are notes of graham crackers and cinnamon. It smells just amazing. The taste is just like the nose with solid fresh tasty pumpkin with cinnamon spice and pie crust mixing to create a graham cracker sensation. The alcohol presence hits midway and thins it out some. It ends on the dry side with nice rich pumpkin and spices lingering deep into the after taste. This is what I want a pumpkin beer to both smell and taste like. WOW!!!

Taps somewhat transparent mahogany with a fair buff head. Aroma features pumpkin spices and toasty malt. Flavor offers nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, toasty malt, hints of caramel and toffee. Texture presents firm, smooth body and lively fizz. Gourd to the last sip!

Pours out extremely "pumpkin" color with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is the strongest smelling pumpkin beer I've had so far. The mouthfeel is solid and thick. The taste is all good pure pumpkin enjoyment. One of the best pumpkin beers of all time.

From the Hootenanny tasting session. Copper amber pour, tight white head, nice lacing. Light pumpkin and spiced aroma, with less spice and more pumpkiny nose, some yeasts, still light aroma for a bigger beer. Nice and clean flavor, pumpkin then spices, unusual yeasts strains, not unpleasant in any way, just different. Very enjoyable ale, tasty and different. Worthy.

i must say i don't get the last review at all. THIS is what pumpkin beers should aspire to be. THIS is what i wanted from Pumking! Dark hazy orange pour. Good God this smells nice. Spices yes, but there's something unique in there as well. You can taste and smell the natural pumpkin as much as the spices, which are done just right. That would be good enough, but the added ridiculous creaminess in the flavor and feel as you swallow, making this as a whole like creamy thick liquified pumpkin pie a-la-mode, gives this the nod as THE best pumpkin beer I've ever had...and it'll be hard to ever top.

An orange-amber colored beer with a disappointingly small soapy textured, white head. It disappears quickly leaving a moderate sized ringlet behind. Pumpkin, spices and caramel malt are in the nose. The tasting is cloves up front. Sweet malt in the aftertaste. A light medium nodied beer.

Nice mild strong ale with a firm yet subtle pumpkin addition. Clear copper orange body with a huge head. Extremely clean and easy drinking. Spice and pumpkin atop some bread and caramel. Very well done.
