750mL courtesy of markwise. It opened up and proceeded to spray out beer like a fire hose as I tried to extract the bottle cap. WTF!! So infected mess, right? Hmm. Smells fine . . . tastes fine . . . why’d it blow then? Whatever. The aroma offers up sweet honey, honey sweetened ginger, some various saison like spices like coriander and maybe a bit of clove as well as fruity notes like apples, pears and apricots. The taste is similar with a good deal of spices followed by honey sweetened light skin fruitiness. Midway I pick up a moderate to mild level of wood that has a drying influence on the beer as it comes to the finish. Rich yummy stuff.
