Having had the Lupulus a couple of days ago, and enjoying its' tripel like character, I was really looking forward to this one. I was quite surprised at how different the two beers are. This is still a hazed gold, quite pale, and the head is still generous. Spice and Belgian yeast tingle the nose immediately with malt and citrus close behind. Another well balanced and easy to drink beer. If I have one complaint, it's that they don't produce enough of this stuff.

Bottle. Colour - golden amber, hazed, thin tan head. Aroma - yeast, pepper, citrus, malt. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - yeast, spices, citrus, grains, some saison sense going on. Overall - As stated in my lupulus review, Charlevoix makes some amazing beers and this is no exception. i wouldn't be surprised if I found out that Lupulus is excessively hopped triple

Pours a hazy straw colour with a huge white head. Took a while to pour. Head settles but leaves no lacing. Fruity aroma with a hint of pepper. Flavour is spicy, fruity (banana and apple) Yeasty and sweet malt. Would have liked a little more body. Good but already had a better triple tonight.

Peachy gold body with a tall fluffy white cap. Soapy sour wheat, bubble gum, lemon.......This is a funky smelling triple. Apple and a creamy wheat malt finish...this aroma has it all!! Wow is it good. Taste is excellent but starts to border on to sweet. Massive wheat malts, big Belgian yeast, bit of an alcohol bite in the finish. Just poured rest of bottle into glass and the beer just turned creamy. Lemony kick, great spice, nice and smooth I guess my only real complaint would be be the beer borders on to sweet. Yet another awesome beer from Charlevoix.

500ml bottle, My first time sampling this brew in a bottle. Pours a clouded burnished gold ale in the glass – large sticky cap lasts and laces. Aroma has some complexity and is fairly pungent: big cereal aroma with spice, fruits, some fusel and earthy funk from Belgian yeast. Peppery tongue, chewy mouth feel. Flavor profile starts with some big complexity malts mingle with succulent fruity tones, spice, herbs, woodiness, mid palate this dries up to become very much like a tart pear cider, then goes to a dry fruity finish and a light hop bite at the end – then some subtle warming. Very drinkable Abby style triple with decent complexity, however, still has some sharp edges on it - I suspect it would develop moreround rounded character with some cellar aging.

Pours out a dark tan orange, pretty damn good foam .. . some honey, bark, pepper, and yeast .. . warming and just a bit out the box for a triple .. . i'd drink this again .. . Oh, yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you?

A great tasting Canadian tripel. A nice earthy yeasty beer with enough citrus hints to keep interesting. A cloudy golden beer with a generous white head that lasts. Musky yeasty aroma with citrusy hops dominates. The flavour is earthy malt, and yeast with citrusy hints. Great beer.

I tried this beer on August 18, 2010 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy dark gold colour with a generous white head that lasted. The aroma was yeast, citrus, and malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and medium carbonation and creamy. The flavour was yeasty, peppery, malty, with some citrusy hints.

Bottled@omhper. Golden/hazy yellowish colour with small white head. Aroma is fruits along with some slight yeast and mild spicyness. Flavour is fruits, spices, some slight alcohol and mild herbal and grassy notes as well. Quite refreshing and easy to drink Tripel.

Bought at the Dépanneur À Tout Prix in Laval, Quebec. Pours a hazy caramel colour with hints of orange. Nice creamy off-white head with excellent retention and vivid tiny bubbles carbonation. The nose is mild with Belgian yeast and some spice. Nice creamy thick lace and medium to full-bodied. The taste is also quite mild, with the alcohol well-hidden. Good spicy flavours (like cloves) with the Belgian yeast, bread, caramel malt and decent sweetness. This is a great Tripel for this Canadian micro.
