This unfiltered German-style wheat beer is brewed for summer enjoyment with a Bavarian yeast to give it the refreshing spicy overtones that make Weizens so unique. Whitewater Weizen is as exciting and exhilarating as a run through the rapids.

A vigorous pour musters an almost three-finger thick, pale tan colored head in my 25cl tulip glass. The beer is quite clear with an amber-copper hue, but shows a touch of haze and an orange-gold color when held up to the light. The aroma smells of cloves, aromatic fruit and bananas up front with dry, wheat-grain notes becoming more prominent towards the end. Aroma is decent, it does not have any off notes, but does seem to be lacking that little extra nudge to get it to greatness.
Clove flavors and lightly sweet grain up front produce some sweetness before the carbonation kicks in (as it is rolling across the tongue). The carbonation dries things out a bit and provides a bit of a peppery bite. This has a decent body to it, light enough to be drinkable, but with a bit of a silky texture that I like to find at least some of in a good Weizen. This finishes with a touch of wheat tartness as well as some lingering clove phenolics. There is also a touch of apple like fruitiness here as well as a touch of cracker like grain.
A decent example of a Hefe Weizen. It could use a bit more grain complexity and texture (would asking for a decoction mash be too unreasonable?), but this is certainly serviceable if one is in the mood for a Weizen.

Sampled from bottle: pours a hazey golden colour with a full creamy white head. Aroma is sweet, hints of yeast, lemon zest and soft bananna. Soft and spicey mouthfeel with wheat and subtle caramel in the finish.
