First brewed in 1984 for Christianssands Bryggeri's 125th anniversary, it was intended for the jubilee year only. However, the brew was an instant success, so the Kristiansand-based brewery (now part of the Hansa Borg group) have continued producing it ever since. It is brewed on caramel malts.

This beer lacks in aroma but has a golden look with an off-white head. Has a caramel flavor with medium bitterness. Writing about it makes me want another!

Dark golden coloured and moderately carbonated, this Norwegian lager relies heavily on the caramel malts used. The flavour is distinctly sweet, but quite well balanced with the hops. Lager lovers with a 'sweet tooth' will find it attractive, the rest of you will at the best see it as an acceptable 'change of pace' beer.
