330 ml capped and trendy black bottle. Poured a not clear and copper golden-amber coloured IPA with a generous two fingers light beige and soapy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is moderate fruity hops, citrus, on a solid caramel malty backbone, herbal and floral notes. The flavour is massive sweety malts, caramel, toffee, light citrussy hops and a honey touch. The mouthfeel is crispy and sticky. The texture is watery. This medium bodied IPA has a long sweety malts and light-light hoppy bitter finish. This Fleur de Houblon IPA is a quite new receipt from the Castelain brewery. It needs to be improve. The cold hopping process don't bring the expected result. Labelling this Castelain Fleur de Houblon as an IPA is a French optimistic statement.
