Get real, this is a fantastic beer, I drink heaps of it! Smooth, light, refreshing with a nice dry finish.

- I've cleaned up the review I had that was filled with curses and negativity...so I removed the cursing.
I've yet to have a bottle of this stuff that didn't pour out a bunch of unwanted moldy looking floaties. Yellow gold beer with a good rocky white cap, messy lacing and decent retention. The smell smells. Only on occasion has my beer not stunk like the entrance to Rat's Nest Cave near Canmore. The last time was so horrid that I downed it in one shot just to be rid of it. I've added bready malts to a long list of beer insults that I've removed (words like eye watering, paint, pungent brutal... ect.... oops). The taste is up and down. The hop flavour doesn't work for me at all. Theres also a good amount of old grass and some bready malts. Mouth feel was less than acceptable with chemicals and persistant bad breath. Highly overpriced ass beer. -

Gold colour, good white head & bubbles. Lifted grain/flour aroma, subtle metallic notes of the hops. Crisp Euro lager flavour (which, I believe, is a more appropriate category for this beer). Good Tassie hop flavour, hint of sulfur. Balance is good; chewy malt up front, which "crisps" nicely, with a nice bitterness bringing it together. This has always been my restaurant pre-dinner beer of choice. Always a good competition between it and it's main rival, Boag's.

Its a good beer. At the Australian Good Taste Beer Awards 2003, it won the gold medal for 'Best Premium Beer in Australia'. I don't reckon its fantastic, it tastes fairly weak and a bit lacking in flavour, but its fine.

Bottled. Golden colour, minor white head. Aroma is malty, and has some hints of vanilla in it. Flavour is then again plain pale lagerish, malts and hops ina pleasant mix. Could have this again, smooth and not being either good or bad. Refreshing clean lager.

Maybe it's that Tasmanian water, but Cascade Premium is easily Australia's best beer. Clean, crisp and flavorful with a refreshing, almost cleansing effect on the palate. Wish we could get it here in New York. It rules.

smooth and inoffensive, easy to drink and damn refreshing. not to full of flavour though, should be more hoppy i reckon . the light prolly tastes better i reckon. unusual but true.

To fizzy and edgy and bland, evryone in Australia seems to think Tasmania is famous for beer, but i'm yet to have a truly great beer from that part of the world, this is below average.
