Cariboo Genuine Draft, our flagship, award winning, multi-platinum megastar, has been the Spirit Of The North since 1957. This beer is a certified Canadian Classic, spawning countless imitators, and spending much of the last decade as a globe-trotting icon to the other Genuine Drafts of the world. But no matter how big the Boo got, it never forgot its roots. In partnership with the BC’s Forests for Tomorrow program, Cariboo Brewing has committed to planting 50,000 trees annually, in areas devastated by forest fires and the pine beetle infestation. The program also supports the BC Climate Action Plan. As these seedlings grow, they will absorb carbon dioxide and breathe out clean oxygen. Over their eighty-year lifespan, the oxygen produced by these 50,000 trees will offset 6,080 tons of carbon; the equivalent of taking over 1,500 average cars off the road each year. Cariboo puts in work for the community we live and work in, because we care. Tasting Notes A smooth and mild taste that’s perfect for the big game, sharing good times with friends, and making memories that last. Straw-coloured, light on the palate and fully thirst quenching. This Boo brew is ideal for sunny days or cold winter nights, whatever the weather may bring. The Genuine Draft goes great with spicy foods, roast chicken and your everyday snackables.

Couple of pints at my local Royal Canadian Legion. Tough choices here for draught: Bud, Blue, or this one. Decided this would be the lesser of the evils and was probably right. Clear straw pour, no head. Grassy aroma with lemon notes. Average mouthfeel. Flavour as expected, grass and lemon. Bland finish. Easy drinking and not disgusting. Hard to believe the brewer's description, though.

Light gold brew with a large foamy white cap that dies slowly. What is this in the aroma? Initial smell gave me a hint of pleasant hops with a bit of light citrus. Now, getting it back is the trick. I have to leave it sit for a minute or more and gather inside the chalice that I poured this in. A tad fruity, caramel, ... ack. This is frustrating. The aroma just won’t stick around. I don’t like having to fight for the aroma. Smell better than a pale lager. I do keep finding corn though. God I wish I had a pinball machine right now. The taste is on the watery side but there is nothing offensive at all. I really assumed this beer would be of the lowest quality - I don’t like being disappointed! Corn, light fruit and hops on the taste, light spice, caramel hides behind the massive carbonation.. you can see it through the bubbly wall if you squint. Man, I am just totally gassed up. Light tasting brew, soft after taste of caramel or biscuit or something. Very mild bitterness. Not a total shit beer! Dammit. This beer needs more power.
