Asnwith most of Capital's beers, they go heavy on the hops. I am a strong believer that Hops should be slight when it comes to the brown ales. The colour is heavy and decent lacing.

This ale poured a dark but clear brown colour with a decent sized tan, almond coloured head. Excellent retention, decent lacing. It is semi-sweet and bready at times. Soft and nutty, with well integrated hops. Mouthfeel is relatively light but satisfying.

Well, I don't know about all the hoppy undertones. I liked the color and the aroma, not the taste. Left me feeling slighted.

Nice dark amber color, with moderate head on pouring and some lacing on the glass as you drink it. Rather mild tasting, with medium body. Some latent sweetness and a mild hops kick, but not a lingering one. I don't suppose I'd take this one home to meet my parents, but it seemed to be a good buy for the money and a pleasant tasting brew.
