The beer pays tribute to an iconic historical landmark in Penticton. The S.S. Sicamous is a large steamboat that was in operation in the Okanagan Valley from 1914 to 1935. It is currently open as a museum and events facility, and is being restored by the S.S. Sicamous Restoration Society. To raise funds for the cause, Cannery is releasing Lakeboat Lager For craft-beer lovers or for those that are new to the world of hand-crafted, small-batch micro-brewed beers, this is a great beer because the mellow malts and exciting hops of this lager are carefully balanced to produce a crisp, clean, refreshing finish. It’s a very versatile beer that is great whether it’s enjoyed on a hot day or while watching a hockey game, paired alongside a broad range of foods or served alone.
