Since 1836, many a Captain has used Oakville’s first lighthouse as a guiding light during their evening voyages. A true Oakville landmark, the first lighthouse keeper was also the town’s first tavern owner. Today, Captain’s Log is brewed with only the finest two-row malted barley and cold aged for a smooth, refreshing taste. Another one from their early days that has been updated to be a touch hoppier than back in their 9-packs. Clean, light golden colour with a frothy white cap, average stay and minimal lacing. Herbal aromas with a touch of citrus over the lager malt base. The taste is more lager with a sweeter, but smooth malt, and the hops being lighter in this one. An alright lager with better malts, a touch more hops, but still on the rich-sweeter side.
