Bomber courtesy of Degarth. Pours orange-ish copper clear with tan head and decent lacing. Pretty big aroma initially but hard to pin down the type of hops. Seems to be pine hops mixed with roasty malts. Soon I notice some green hops mixed with pine hops and lightly roasted maltiness. The taste is very similar to the nose with pine hop bitterness and a bolt of green/wet like hops as well along with sweeter lightly roasted malts leaning into caramel. The malts also seem roasty and toasty in a mild sweet maltiness sort of way. The hop bitterness stays even into the finish. Pretty darn tasty without any of the standard organic stale malt influence that I’ve come accustom to associating with organic type beers. Maybe all the hops cover up or limit the staleness.

Sampled on 5/7/2009. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention. The aroma is citrusy and piney hops and iced tea. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. Kind of muddy tasting. The hop bitterness is not balance by the malts. Not really enjoying this one, can’t quite place why, but its not working for me, perhaps it the muddy taste or the vegetative aspect of the fresh hops. It’s been in the fridge awhile so maybe that is a factor as well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Pours a clear brown. There is a sticky hop aroma with some caramel mixed in. A little sticky with some fresh cracked pepper. This really tasted bigger than 6.6%.

A dark amber apperance. Some caramel and lemons can be detected in the aroma. This one is rather malty for an IPA. A lot of caramel showing through overriding an citrus flavors. The palate was slightly thin. Overall nothing very impressive but ok.
