Purchased a bottle at the brewpub October 2016, on our west coast musical tour. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with an off-white head and minimal lacing. Peppery nose with a malty background. The taste starts off smooth, but then the peppers hit in the middle, lingering with grainy malts. A nice spicy beer with a long lasting bite.

Picked up a 650ml bottle on a recent trip to the Regina brewery, poured into a pint glass. Had an actual pepper floating in the bottle, a big one too, 3 inches long. From their website "We infuse Freehouse Cream Ale with fresh Serrano chili peppers. Some like it hot!". As soon as the bottle cap popped, you could smell the pepper. Poured a very yellow color and overly fizzy - reminded me of Mountain Dew. I may have left this one sitting too long, but all you could smell or taste was pepper. Burned the tongue and throat, same as a shot of hotsauce. Sorry, too hot to even finish the bottle. First thought is to give it 1's across the board, but I am trying to review as per style and according to what the brewer was attempting. As a result it gets higher marks, because it is supposed to be hot and spicy. No subtle flavor, it hits you like a fist in the face. For the adventurous, or on a dare, try it. Sorry, not for me.
