Mighty as the rugged smith who made it, the blade is marked with a telling inscription. For between these jagged edges lays the storied steel wielded by mortals to please the gods of war and death. A deep and mystical darkness resides within, but this ominous bounty boasts only reward. Forged from German and British malts, fermented upon juniper and traditionally lagered, our Baltic Porter is made with respect for those that came before it. The result is a mildly spiced but highly aromatic lager with and ever-present aroma of chocolate, licorice, and roasted nuts. Fear not the presence of the blade, for today's prize knows no wrath.

Taps opaque coffee with a good tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, quality coffee, and a hint of molasses. Flavor offers roast malt, quality coffee, a bit of molasses and a bit of licorice. Mouthfeel presents fairly firm body and lively fizz. Hammered out well.
