A solid pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a fat-three-finger thick, lightly amber tinged, light tan colored head. The bere is a orange blushed, light amber color that shows a fairly clear, copper-amber hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of dried orange peel, tangerine, lychee, and tangelo zest. There is a backdrop of subtle toasted pale grain, a hint of citrusy spruce tips, and just a wisp of pine needles. If you like fruit focused hop aromatics then this is certainly the beer for you, it is perhaps a bit simplistic in its focus, but this hop head finds it quite appealing.
Lightly sweet tasting up front, but the beer quickly foams up with a ton of froth as it hits my tongue; perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it is definitely a little over-carbonated. The finish has a distinct, bubble gum note to it that really lingers on the tongue with the characteristic artificial flavors found in Bubble Yum. Tropical fruit flavors (really a mix of lychee and apricot) up front mix with notes of kumquat zest, tangelo peel, and candied grapefruit zest. The beer has a nice bitterness in the finish that provides a nice bite as well as some menthol and astringent hop notes. Digging a bit deeper into the flavor notes of pine become more noticeable as does a hint of hemp oil, and an herbal, hint of chive; these last couple are quite subtle in the flavor. There is just enough malt to be noticeable here, it does play a supporting role, but notes of caramelized crystal malts, a touch of biscuit like malt and a sweet, medium fullness in the body. This last is a bit heavier than I would prefer in a West Coast IPA, but this is not one of those and is still light enough to be fairly drinkable.
The aroma is a bit simplistic in its straight forward hop fruit character, the flavor though is a bit more complex in its hop notes; either way this is a beer that any hop lover will enjoy. Having said that I find this a little lacking somehow, the hop character could be a touch more integrated, and there is a touch more crystal malt than I might prefer. Still, this is quite a tasty brew, one which I am happily consuming at the moment.

Poured a hazy bronze color with a thin off white head and nice lacing on the glass. Pine, resin, floral hop aroma. Taste was very bitter, grapefruit and other various citrus fruits, and finished dry. Very flavorful, though there seemed to be too much going on in the taste.
