Distinctively smooth, beechwood finished. Golden amber lager brewed with toasted caramel malt. We challenged our 12 Budwesier Brewmasters to create a new masterpiece. Six unique beers were crafted and sampled across America. One was chosen. This amber lager's toasted caramel malt notes and smooth finish earned it the Black Crown.

Well, what can I say? I was thirsty as all-get-out, it’s hot as a two-dollar pistol in Atlanta, and this is what they had. Pours clear amber with a fairly thick but effervescent ivory head. Weak aroma is fruity and malty. Flavor is actually OK, more fruity than malty, pear with some apple. Mouthfeel has average body, but fizz leaves something to be desired. OK for a party or while watching your favorite team kick ass.

Had from the bottle at Big A's on the Riverfront in Old Town St. Charles over Christmas. First and foremost is the alcohol. It's quite noticeable. The mouthfeel was somewhat disturbing for me. It did, however go very well with the Reuben sandwich I ate at the bar.

Drank this out of a bottle so I don't know much about the appearance. I did pour some in my hand and saw it was amber colored. From the bottle it just smelled like mild malt. The mouthfeel was very thin. The taste was smooth but very plain.

The beer pours an amber hued gold colour with a huge white head that disappeared quickly. The aroma is metallic, some caramel sweetness, and weak earthy hops. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is slightly sweet with caramel notes, and a lot of grains. Tasted better than I thought it would, but far from something I would drink regularly. -

Pours a huge foamy white head and has a pale golden appearance. Pretty thick patchy lacing. Just like regular Bud, still has that grainy, corn aroma. Not much else. Flavours are light roasted malts, very light caramel notes with some hints of resin hops. Quite light bodied mouthfeel. It's ok, much better than normal Bud but still nothing special. Would take if offered but probably wouldn't buy again.

There's really not much to say about this. It is what it is. Average beer. Basically if you take regular Bud, and add in semi-sweet caramel, you get Bud Crown. I like Bud - it's my go to brew of the big name macros, but there is no need for this beer.

12-pack from the States purchased by my guitarist, Pete K. Pours a clean amber colour with a nice creamy, off-white head, that has decent retention and creamy lacing all-around. Sweet nose with caramel malts and very light hops. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. The taste has the caramel malts, but very watered-down and not really sweet. More on the chemical-side of things with whatever hops they use. Was better from the bottle, and real cold. Still, probably the best product with the Budweiser name on it.

Picked up a 6-pack just to say I've tried it. This is really fairly average--clear light amber pour, minimal aroma, creamier mouthfeel than normal Bud and some breadiness and caramel in the taste. Nothing here makes this beer stand out nor is anything offensive enough to scare people away.

A little more to it than I expected. Though not good, or something I'd seek out again, it is within the realm of if I'm at someone's house and that's the best they have, I'd take it over nothing. Still has the macro corny feel and flavor, but a little bready malt as well. Light, almost undiscernable hops.

Its a heavy mouthfeel and a flavorless beer, what the hell is the goal here? Don't really know what this would be good for, not lite enough to have a bunch of and not tasty enough to have anyway...
