Reached into the fridge to grab a Diet Coke with Lime. Pulled out a green and silver can, popped it open, took a slug, and...WTF? I have made a serious mistake. Atrocious 'taste', syrupy mouthfeel, gag-inducing finish. Easily the worst pretend beer I've ever suffered through. Nothing about it was even close to beer, except maybe the appearance. Even the Dubai-made Barbican beer substitute was less disgusting, and it had zero ABV. This is even worse than the original Bud Light with Lime. I felt unwell afterwards - should've been a drain pour. My bad.

A friend brought me this back from CA, not sure what i did to deserve this horrible treatment. Pours a pale golden yellow color with a large, spongy white head that burns off within a few minutes, leaving a bubbly collar. The aroma consists of lime and mint The taste is a combinanation of lime and mint flavours however is, for lack of a better word, gross. Not sure how to say it any nicer then that. The mouthfeel is thin-bodied with ample carbonation.

Watching for what the Canadian beer trend of summer 2012 is, you can see Molson brewing Coors Light with some iced tea, Alexander Keith's doing an apple cider and Labatt brewing this Bud Light Lime with mint, creating a mojito effect. So, fruity malt beverages (and light in two of the cases). This one pours a light golden colour with a white cap. Fresh lime scent at first, but then the mint shows up to then disappear again. The taste is quite sweet overall, all the way, with light malt notes and very faint hints of lime and mint in the background. These last two are actually more present when drunk from the bottle. Kind of a bit too different and the way Molson is promoting their Coors Light Iced T, they should stomp on this mojito brew.
