Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales", because they were so refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma, resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition.

355ml can into schooner glass. From ALDI, Riverwood. Amber beer with high fine carbonation, crown of white froth on top. Some light lacing. Aromas of light malt and fruit. Light body, easy-drinking. Finish is subtle but mostly guava and/or watermelon. Slammable. A 'lager' for people who don't like the word 'lager'.

12 oz brown bottle, wet raggy aroma when I pop the lid and when I pour it into my glass. Barely darker than a ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. No head but has some carbonation boiling within. Bitter at first but it fades immediately to a much smoother flavor, especially now that I see it is a blond. Interesting off heavy production that is not truly that light. Hay like aroma continues. Has a hoppy impact in the background but that does not overtake the brew, it is just there, not yelling at you. Yes, it does have a wet bready flavor, again not overwhelming, you just know it’s there. The olfactory eventually fades into a sweet honey candy perfume at the end. As good as Petes Wicked Rally Cap Ale and Rivertowne Babbling Blonde but certainly much better than Kochs Golden Anniversary Beer and Ballantine XXX Ale. Overall not bad, no bitternesss and pretty enjoyable.

The American equivalent of the Belgian patersbier. The beer pours a clear light gold color, effervescence is heavy, and the snow white cap lingers for several minutes. The aroma is grassy malt, light citrus, floral hops, and yeast. Mouthfeel is thin to average. Flavor is grains and hops…grains and hops…and is quite refreshing.

Comes out of tap clear golden with a nice eggshell head. Crisp, malty aroma has a fruity underpinning and a hint of hops. Flavor is mainly malty plus apple, a bit of banana, and a snip of woody hops. Body and fizz are average, but it is quite refreshing. Enjoy on a sultry day.

Aroma and flavor crisp malt driven but with a bit of fruity orange hops and a bit of yeasty spice to it as well. Still a blonde ale, but a pretty nice one.

Pours a crystal clear light amber with little to no head. Nice carbonation. Aroma is of light malts and clove. Taste is very malty with a hit of cloves and like spices. Fairly full bodied. Finishes chewy and slightly dry. Not too bad.

Nice orange golden colored beer with a big foamy textured, white head rising robustly above. There's good hang time. Settles into a medium sized ringlet. The nose light, but the profile on this one pretty straight forward. Biscuit malt and light grassy hops. Light -medium bodied and refreshing.

From purchased 6 pk. Light golden-orange-yellow pour with a nice tall white head, some lacing. Lightly sweet malty aroma, clean, light fruits, clean but light floral hopped. Very easy to drink- light fruits and sweet malts, caramel, a touch of citrus, lightly hopped, some honeysuckle and little bitter linger. Truly a Summer Ale.

Pours out in a clear golden colour with a low frothy white head. Straw, dough, mild butter, pale malts with hints of lemon-zest and metal. Medium to light-bodied with notes of dough, pale malts, grass and mild citric fruits. Metal dough and mild citric fruit in the finish.
