    Black!!!!!!!!!!body with a small tan cap but since they poured the beer right to the very edge of the rim no cap would be possible. Aroma is good, smoked coffee, dark bitter chocolate, mild amounts of ash tray. Very standard taste, burnt coffee, smoke bitter chocolate, a very slight sourness. Mouth fell is so dry its giving me pasties. The smoke flavour starts to explode when beer gets warm. This stout will not blow your mind but it has all the right flavours and its very easy to drink.

    got the draught and head showed super thin to non-existent. what head there was, was light tan colour i'm guessing. as i was drinking, it showed light roping with spotty lacing at best. aroma reflected coffee beans. perhaps as good as safeway brand or western family might be. the taste is like as if i was drinking bitter water. the aftertaste is again, bitter, and very undesirable. it lingers. if i had a choice of stouts to choose from at this place, i wouldn't be choosing this one i'd guess.

    A favorite, have sampled at several different Brewster's locations. Served in a plain pint glass. Dark black color, almost no light will travel through the liquid. Served with a good thick head, 1/2 inch of brown foam. Left some thick lacing. Just what a stout should look like. Smells of roasted malt, coffee, and a bit of toffee and chocolate sweetness. A tastey brew, with all the expected flavors of toasted malt, coffee, toffee. There is a slight bitter finish that balances well. Mouthfeel is full bodied, rich and creamy. There is just enough sweetness that keep it from being a really dry stout. A stand by choice whenever I am at Brewster's. I like to try the seasonals, but always find myself coming back to this one.
