The Indian Pale® Ale is our most aggressively hopped brew. It is a light golden in color with a very strong hop profile. We dry hop this beer(which is adding hops to the beer after fermentation) for a nice floral aroma. If you like strong, bitter beers, then this is the choice.

maybe more of a letdown than the others, only in that i expect more from this style. this is a rather weak and unassuming ipa. nothing is loud enough, or flavorful enough. just ok. re-rate 6/09: still under average for an IPA, but one of the semi-enjoyable brews they make at least. Still a bit boring, but not as bad as I remembered.

I asked the guy who serves up the beer if he knew much abou their IPA. He said sure, it's my favorite. I asked him if they dry hop their beers and they said they done. Which would explain to my why there was basically zero aroma on this beer. An IPA without hop aroma?? Ayecaramba. An appearance of light gold, clear with a one-finger head. Aroma of light malts. Flavor of piney hops, caramel malts and little else. I asked the guy if they use anything other than Cascade hops and nope. There's something to be said for mixing it up a bit!

Sampled via a Taster Set, while checking out The Brewery At Lake Tahoe. After tasting each of the seven samples, it wasn't hard to pick out my favorite (not surprising, considering I'm a huge IPA fan and all).

Quite light in the mouthfeel and in appearence -- which only tends to highlight the hops, and the ominprescence in this rather uncomplicated beer. That is to say, it isn't "simple", but, at the same time, it doesn't have much in the way of "baggage", so to speak.

Perhaps a little astrigent in the mouthfeel, but the overall drinkability of this beer was smooth and tasty enough for me to get a full pint later on.

Perhaps not the most complex example of the style, but a clear-cut example of doing one thing, and doing one thing quite well. Recommended.
