Three of the United Kingdom’s most influential beer bloggers, Zak Avery, Pete Brown and Mark Dredge have turned from critics to craft brewers, launching their very own beer brewed with Scotland’s largest independent brewery, BrewDog. The eponymous Avery Brown Dredge beer is a 7.5% ABV imperial pilsner and was brewed in January this year when the three writers untied to craft ‘the perfect beer’ at BrewDog’s microbrewery in Fraserburgh, Aberdeen. The imperial pilsner was brewed using purely natural ingredients: lager malt, malted wheat, Saaz hops and water. Extensively dry hopped and lagered since January, the beer is now ready rock and you can order yours today.

Bottled (thanks to the labeldesigners, who were having a few beers in the table beside us!). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is hops, bready malts, some caramel as well as some grassy notes. Flavour is rather hoppy dry along with some bready notes and mild fruityness as well. Pleasantly balanced.

Courtesy FengShuiDCU, thanks again for all the beers. Pours opaque orange with a medium white head. Aromas of honey. Flavor as expected for the style, expected sticky sweet and grassy hops.
