Brune au miel In ancient Egypt, the belief was that bees were born out of the teras of the sun god Râ. Honey was often used there to flavor and add a divine or curative nature to many beverages and foods. More than 5000 years ago, Egyptians were already making a grain based beer to which honey was frequently added. It is in the honor of ancient Egypt and the tears of their sun god that we brew Necrareüs. With its wildflower honey notes and lightly roasted cereal flavors, our honey brown ale is delightful and has a mellow bitterness and a malty, slighty sweet finish.

Pours a mahogany-copper colour with a mocha thick head, but not creamy, lasting an average time with not much lacing. Very sweet nose of brown sugars and loads of apples. After a sip, I get some slight creamy lacing. The taste is not as sweet as expected from the aromas. Malted roasted grain with some decent hops that calms the sweetness. Nutty notes with the mild honey appearing in the aftertaste. Seems like a red ale. That's about it. Nothing exceptional. Maybe a little too much yeast. Something off overall.
