August 31, 2007
Smokeless Joe’s (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – 125 John Street)
355ml bottle
4.80% ABV
Brewed Under License in Canada by Labatt Brewing Company
Bottled On: Unknown
$6.55
The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a white head that disappeared quickly. There was a lot of effervescence. The aroma was very grassy with a hint of both malt and hops. The mouthfeel was crisp and thin with some mild carbonation. The taste was similar to other pale lagers with grassy tones. Another beer I didn't enjoy and would not push onto my friends.

It looks nice in colour and design, but in reality it is a weak watery lager with no nose to speak of. It is pleasant enough taste and is easily drinkable.

I think this is a fantastic beer, very smooth, good flavor, little or no aftertaste. The bottler is easily the most original of any beer i've seen. Its fantastic ice cold on a hot day. Lighten up Beer Nazis...

Lightly greenish yellow color. Not much foam. Aroma is quite weak, but still consists nice hoppy and malty bouquet. Taste is really good, smooth and hoppy. Aftertaste refreshing. Good beer for warm day in Rio :)

Reminds somewhat of a domestic beer we have up here called Brava, but with just a tad more flavour. Other than that, there really isn't anything to say about this.

The first thing I noticed about this beer was the ergonometric bottle, and the bonus points I would need to give. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the Brahma experience. A piss-yellow coloured beer in a clear bottle should have been my first clue....but I'm 66, it takes me a little longer to clue in sometimes. The beer looked, felt, and tasted like a watered down Budweiser. The aroma was weak as well. Any bonus points for the ergonometric bottle were quickly given back.

Aroma is of corn and cereal malt with some grainy overtones as well as some cardboard and maybe some boiled veggies. Appearance is a darker golen yellow with a bright white and fuzzy head on top that is large and diminishes to a faint white lacing. Mouthfeel is light-bodied but smooth with grassy complexity and malt balance with a wet palate that is a bit oil-like. Flavor is fo corn, cereal. grass. as well as some sweet malt with no hop character with an aftertaste that is clean and crisp but watery with a malty and sweet finish that is boring. Overall, just another brew to experience; nothing special here whatsoever...next review please.

Light yellow gold brew with little head, no retention and some lasting carbonation. Aroma is of grains, corn and a bit of metal - also on the sweet side. Taste is pretty good and satifying when nice and cold, but once it warms it really loses its value. Seems a bit watered down. Corn and not much else. Decent swish and has a little bitterness. Ends on the soft side. Once again, drink and enjoy cold or you'll realize that this is just another subpar import brew.

a brew i enjoyed quite a bit of in the DR. pours a clear golden colour, large white head. aromas of straw, pear and slight hops. Taste is rather grainy, but crisp and refreshing during a long day in the sun.

Yellow colour, small white head. Malty and maizeish aroma. Flavour is malts, maize and a bit hops. A bit sticky palate. I had hoped for Brazil as a country, but InBev ruined the fun. (Bottled by InBev, Netherlands)
