Just like Boxer Lager, our Boxer Ice is made in small batches and is handcrafted using pure Canadian grown and malted 2-row barley. The Boxer Ice at 5.5% is packaged at a slightly higher alcohol content than our regular Boxer Lager at 5%; this is due to the actual process of making an ice beer. The method of making ice beer is actually quite easy. To make ice beer, you must bring the temperature down to slowly form ice crystals without totally freezing the it. This process is done in the lagering tank just before the beer is filtered. To get that extra 1/2 percent of alcohol from the beer, we simply remove the ice crystals from the beer. Our strategy is to continue offering all Boxer Brand Beers at the Lowest Legal Price allowed. Boxer Ice in the 710mL single serve can will retail at $2.40 excluding the refundable can deposit.

Second cheap Ice beer today in cans (the other being the Keystone Ice). Pours a little more golden than the other. Head is way better as well - way more retention and some lacing everywhere. Aromas of malts, adjuncts and hints of honey. Again, better scent, but where this one goes wrong is the taste. Sweet malty mouth with some more adjuncts and then, the same club soda feel. So, a better looking beer, but the taste kind of does not sit well in the stomach. The Keystone is easier going down.
