Eastern European countries are famous for their "Baltic" style porters. Sometimes brewed as a lager, sometimes brewed as an ale, the one thing all Baltic Porters, including Boscos", have in common is a full body and a warming character. Eastern Europe developed a taste for English Porters in the 1800’s. When they decided to start brewing these beers themselves, instead or importing them from England, they put a regional twist on the style.
