Pretty much average Canadian swill. Poured out a weak yellow gold beer with light carbonation, a thin white cap and decent lacing. Aroma was of sweet malts but had somewhat of an acrid, unclean smell. Needs more on the aroma side because it starts to get unappealing and empty. Taste is pretty good and I can see why people can drop back dozens. I do, however, remember it tasting noticably better than this bottle. It's definetly better warmer with the malt and decent wheat comming out. Slight bitterness as well - pretty straight forward on taste and smell. Man, this gets even better more warm. Mouthfeel is good - not quite smooth, moderately dry with a slight sweet and dry finish.

Lord thundering Jesus, its Newfie swill time. Just got a whole shipment of east coast Canadian beer in, so let the fun begin. First up Blue Star, looks like every other macro produced lager, browny gold, and a thin white cap that’s gone before you can put down the bottle, Yawn. The aroma is 100% pure ass malt I say ass malt because it smells like ass, and there is this strange solvent like smell burning my throat. Mmmmmm….tastes like loaf of bread, but wait I’m drinking beer so that’s not right, the flavor is nothing but strong cheap malts that leaves a strange egg yolk after taste. This was crap but not dump into the sink crap, it could have been worse.

ahhhhhh the beer of choice back in the day getting drunk in newfoundland!! for casual drinking beers, this one is way up on my list with Old Style Pilsner, easy as hell to drink and not totally swill!! pours a golden color with a 2 finger white foamy head that last for a minute or so, had some sticky lacing, nothing amazing just something you can notice. the aroma of hops, weak malts and a sweet sugary smell. the taste is prominately hops, and leaves the mouth dry after consumption. mouthfeel is thin but decent. the aftertaste is hoppy. its just a regular lager nothing too special about it... one good thing about it, i have never had a hang over drinking this stuff!! EVER!! amazing!! hence will i gave it a 9 overall... easy drinking! :)
