pours a deep ruby color with a big tan foamy head that lingers for awhile with excellent retention and lacing. The aroma is of the sweet sugar and malt with some bread tones and a little floral wafting through. The taste has a mild hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is weak, being a little too watery. However it did have good carbonation though out.

I tried this at a holiday party a few weeks ago. The aroma was malty and sweet, The appearance was mahogany to chestnut with a decent head and lacing. I found the mouth feel to be average. I would have liked it to be a bit more carbonated. The flavor was malt and fruit with just a bit of bitter at the end which was done well. Overall a good winter beer.

This poured a nice, dark, rich color. The aroma was sublte, the head rather thin. The mouthfeel was nice, not too thin. It was the kind of beer that you'd just want to keep taking a sip of, during conversation, and all of the sudden it was gone! I enjoyed it, not skunky aftertaste, no burdensome breath after drinking;)

Comes out of the tap an opaque chocolaty brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma is weak but appealing, with malty, chocolaty and subtle spicy tones. Rich flavor has fruity and malty tones with just a hint of caramel. Average body has some decent fizz that doesn’t stick around too long. Overall, not great, but worth a try.

Poured a dark robust color, nice texture. All around good cold weather beer, not light but medium bodied, a few will fill you up. Drink this on a cold day and you will feel better.

It pours a copper-red color with thick, light-tan, dimpled head and copious lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malts, light hops, citrus blend, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, yet too thin. Flavors of caramel malts, citrus, and lightly spicy. Looks better than it is.

I was expecting so much more... it was lighter than I expected. The aroma was weak with a barely perceptable hint of spice. Very weak head, although decent, not stellar, lacing. Very weak mouthfeel and highly carbonated. Skip it, you've not missed anything.

Not my favorite among winter beers, but ok. Pours a copper color with a nice white head. Roasted smell of malts and spices, maybe a little citrus. Spice flavor with some mild citrus. Not bad.

This beer was better than I expected. I prefer this kind of ale compared to the regular Blue Moon Belgian White. This is more of a medium brown-dark copper color. Clear with a medium thickness. Good amount of carbonation which produces a nice frosty head. Spicey flavor with a brown sugary aftertaste. I don't mind it, but I can see based on some of the reviews that it may be too sweet for an ale. Maybe more like a dunkel, bock, or something? Tastes kind of like Shiner Bock. I buy it when it's in season and on sale, which is about $6.50-7 here. UPDATED 1/17/10- Haven't had this in about a year, so bought a 6-pack so I can use one to cook with a pot roast. Not as good as I thought but still a decent beer. Didn't remember it to be slightly skunky in the aroma but this batch is. Downgraded a few points. I originally thought this was better than the regular Blue Moon Belgian White, but now it falls just short.
