This monsterous version of our IPA has been overloaded with everything from the malt to the hops, even the tunes we rocked out to during the brew day were huge. This bottle conditioned Douple India Pale Ale is abound with aromas of citrus hops, English toffee, and fresh baked biscuits. Carmel notes, hoppy lovin' and slight yeasty notes jump off your tongue. Enjoy this bottle conditioned beer in a large snifter slightly warmer than the normal with the one who keeps you warm at night. Why?...'Cause we can! If this isn't listed already, it is on the bottle: OG 17.4, 83 IBU's, 8% ABV.

Pours a slightly hazy copper-ish orange-ish gold-ish color with big white foam head. The aroma reminds me of the spicy yeastiness of a Belgian Ale. There’s also sweet malts, hints of toffee and light citrus malts in the nose. Doesn’t really smell like an IIPA. Nice full spectrum of flavors with sweet malts, toffee malt, biscuit malt and yeast. Seems like a malty Belgian IPA. The citrus hops are mild in bitterness for the style but I get a decent amount of citrus sweet late addition hoppiness. Tasty off beat IIPA.

Big, biscuity, more malty and heavier than their regular ipa. Less aromatic than their regular ipa, but not due to a lack of hops. They;re there. Similar in body/style to Moylander.

As far as a double IPA goes, this is pretty tame...usually these things are ballistic on the hops and the bitterness makes you cringe...not so much here. This is an above average IPA, but as an imperial, no way. The citrus and yeasty flavors are strong. There is a touch of sweetness, maybe from the toffeee. A decent entry as a standard IPA, but quite a failure for something that is supposed to stand this strongly.

I am extremely surprised of the low low scores of this beer, i mean its not the best IIPA around but it was very decent... here we go, Pours a bottled honey colour, with some decent head ... is very balanced (abit strange in an IIPA) is very smooth ... glad to try! .. . chicken dippa!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it wasn't horrible. I already had my horrible beer experience earlier in the day with Hurricane Kitty. This just wasn't very good. An aroma caramel malts with enough astringency to stop a rhino, not-so-well-hidden alcohol and spicy hops. The flavor is decidedly not IIPA, but IPA maybe. It's straight-forward malt punch is accentuated by the hop character, and it should be the other way around. I noticed too much malts for my liking, especially in an IIPA that was $9/bottle. Give me more hops please.

Pours with a cloudy, orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroms is very floral and medicinal...not good at all. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with a slight flowery and grapfruity hop note, as well as, a little alcohol esters. medium to full bodied and slightly dry.
