Full bodied brown ale with dark roasted finish! A smooth, well-balanced ale brewed with pure water, malts, hops, and yeast and then cold conditioned in the tradition of a classic German Altbier. The drinkable nature of this beer and the roasted chocolate and coffee notes present in this beer make it a wonderfully warming beer. A subtle malt sweetness, distinctive German hops aroma and taste, and subtle roasted finish make this one of our favorite styles of beer.

From phishpond in a recent trade. Pour a nice clear amber with a good retained head and sporadic lacing. Sweet toasted malt aroma with some toffee and nuts and very slight hops presence. Nice nutty sweet caramel flavor with a touch of breadiness and a bit of hops in the end. This was surprisingly tasty and a real treat - thanks Travis. Loved it.

Poursd a deep mahogany colour. The bartender described it as the least popular because its not as "fancy" as the other BluCreek brew. Whatever that means? But I found it to be pretty decent. A thicker body, heavy full mouthfeel with soft chocolate, smoke and nutty flavors.

This beer was average at best. The aroma was of coffee and malt with notes of chocolate and hop. The flavor was much the same with a coffee-chocolate presence and a hint of hop. Malt was the dominent flavor throughout. There was a slight hint of green-pea at the finish.
