Hold on to your seat with one hand and your glass with the other as you enjoy the Bloomington Brewing Company's Tripple VI Diablo, a Belgian Style Strong Ale. Belgium is something of a brewer's mecca, as the tiny country sports more breweries per capita than anywhere else in the world. Each batch of beer brewed by the BBC has been numbered sequentially since the brewery opened its doors in 1995. The numbering helps us keep track of subtle nuances between the batches caused mainly by the changing chemistry of the natural ingredients. Our Batch 666 (a naughty number that we considered skipping right by in a 13th floor sort of way) has become Brewer Floyd Rosenbaum's opportunity to create BBC's first Belgian styled beer. Gently hopped and brewed with lightly roasted malts, Tripple VI Diablo has a unique addition of imported Belgian candy sugar that adds a residual sweetness and kicks up the alcohol content. See if you don't agree with us that Tripple VI Diablo is a devilishly good brew. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I actually had a couple glasses at the release of the first batch of this brew.I am not a huge fan of thios style but it was pretty good stuuf. The candy sugar sure added an intersting twist. I would have one or two if out at the pub but not likely to make it a regular beer of mine.
