Best Black Oak yet. Dark brown pour. Pity the nice fluffy head didn't last longer. Not much lace. Fruity, wood and yeast aroma. Sweet candy flavour, dark fruit, roasted malt, oak, licorice and spicy yeast. Full bodied smooth and sticky mouthfeel.I think this on draught would be the bee's knees.

The beer pours a dark brownish-black with a creamy light tan coloured head. The aroma was plums, coffee, chocolate, and yeast. The mouthfeel was full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was sweet and malty with hints of dark fruit and licorice.

I have since tried the bottled version of this and my score stands, This is a great beer for Canadian brewed Quad!
