This crisp refreshing pale ale, has a hint of mint flavour and lemon aroma courtesy of the herb, Lemon Balm. For those unfamiliar with lemon balm, it’s a bushy herb related to mint that is easily recognizable by the strong lemon smell given off by it’s crushed leaves. In the past Lemon Balm was considered a healing and soothing plant, and especially effective in relieving pain due to indigestion. Lemon balm was also used to impart a lemony taste and smell to many beverages and foods.

Not too disappointed because I didn't expect much. This seems to be the norm for Black Creek. Some lemon in the aroma and flavour with some breaded malt. Two thumbs down for looks and mouthfeel.

Pours a small amount of bubbly head and goes away very quickly. Has a clear golden amber appearance. Aromas are pretty sparse of anything resembling lemons. Just a bland sort of grainy aroma. Flavours are about the same, some grains, wheats and very faint sweet malts. The lemon balm is not very significant in the mix, the malts and such are too overpowering. Lemon balm seems to come out much later as it warms up. Somewhat smooth mouthfeel but still very watery. Quite a disappointment.

The beer pours a slightly hazed golden-red colour with a thin off-white coloured head. The aroma was fresh bread, toffee, and herbs....but nothing citrusy. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with less than average carbonation. The flavour was awful...to put it mildly. Hints of caramel at the start, followed by notes of dirty water, with a bitter metallic finish. No lemon in the taste for me either. Not one to buy again. -

Pours a slight hazy caramel-amber colour with an off-white head, decent retention and a little lace. Big aromas of bread, caramel malts and biscuit. The taste is kind of gross, even though it is mild, as in watered-down. Not much start and then in the middle, this awful rusty water to then finish with the light lemon sourness. Wow... just horrible !!
