Had a 5 oz sampler of this beer while having lunch w/ my brother. Easily my favorite beer of the 4 I sampled. A clean piney/grapefruity nose, but perhaps a bit underbalanced with any malts. I like an IPA to be hop forward, especially if the hops are refined. This one was. Appearance is clear, dark amber in color. Flavor was piney and grapefruity with a subtle caramel malt character. This was clearly a hop vehicle and while it lacked balance, it didn't lack hops. Tasty brew.

This IPA pours with a slightly cloudy amber body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is sweet and citrusy, but weak, and it seems a little "green". The flavor is slightly sweet but mostly bitter with hoppy notes. Again, it seems a little "green" . Light bodied, smooth and slightly watery. The pale ale was hoppier and more flavorful than this IPA.
