cloudy orange with a thin effervescent head. sweet malt, lots of yeast, coriander, citrus, and spice on the nose. good, thick body. fairly high carbonation. the yeasty flavor is fruity and pretty clean. a nice beer.

On tap at BJs Orlando. I was glad to see they still had this one on tap in April. Golden-orange color and served with a thin white head. Nice assortment of fruity flavors here, pears, apples, banana that goes well with the Belgian yeasty spiciness. There's a little alcohol bite here but I was told this beer was 10% abv and it certainly doesn't seem like it was that high. A real nice drink. Served in a special glass too. I'd gladly get this one again.

A very enjoyable beer that just screamed my name when I walked thru the revolving doors. There it was, BJ's Grand Cru - a Belgian celebration to welcome in the New Year! Well alright!! I was a bit late to the party, but I'm down with a Grand Cru from BJ's! It even came served in its own glass, which was pretty cool (I think for a few bucks more, you could get the glass too).

The beer poured out a hazy medium burnt orange color, with no head. After I drank abou a third of the beer I was able to swirl around and get about a 1 finger thick head, but it had quick disipation. The malt in the aroma was big and bold. Nicely sweet with a spicy, herbal punch that was really nice. The alcohol that was to come was also quite a suprise. Boozey and sweet on the tongue, but in a good way. Slightly phenolic but even that was overshadowed by the spicey sweetness that was raging in the glass. Kudos to BJ's for making something this tasty for the masses to enjoy. I'd love to see the face on someone who's never had a good Belgian style beer before. Probably a bit like taking a shot of whiskey for the first time. Nice beer.

had the 2008 10% version at Webster,TX location... served in its own special edition glass, very classy i must say ... amazingly smooth with a playful kick .... this is quite nice, full and sweet some heat in the background.. a winter beer that cuts through the 38 degree weather!

the 2009 version is beautiful too! had with ken and after 3 glasses of this awesome brew.. toasted.. a great brew !

This beer reminds me of the Grand Cru that Celis (Austin) used to have. It is excellent. Even bought a growler of it. Don’t miss this one. A unique beer. Had it @ the BJ’s in Irvine, CA

This belgian ale pours with a deep amber brown body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet, malty and spicy with a slight note of dark fruit. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. Full bodied, smooth and slightly warming.
