In the early morning and evenings, the hop yard becomes a virtual lounge for many of the species of birds that spend time around our farm. There was no better sight to name our first 100% Connecticut pale ale after. Bird Post is made with a significant charge of freshly harvested and dried whole cone hops from Smokedown Farm (Sharon, CT) in the kettle and dry hopped with a selection of the finest pellets from this year’s crop. Our goal is to create a beer that has unadulterated layers of hop character exposing the nuance of what our local growers have to offer. Ripe with citrus, tea, and spice. Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Mild nose: pepper, cream cycle, tangerine. Fogged, VERY pale lemon-colored body, not a lot of head, no lace. Mouth is light but not watery, very nice carbonation, slightly slick. Flavor is growing on me.; Tart, lemon, bitter greens, sour finish, not your usual APA but tasty!
