The ‘Bink brown’ is the most known ‘Bink beer’. It’s a beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. This tasty beer is appreciated by the lover of brown beers. The ingredients are: four types of malt, one belgian type of hop, brewing liquor and yeast. Our ‘Bink brown’ is a full and softly bitter beer with an aftertaste of sweets and malt.

Clear dark ruby, tanned lacing foam head. Caramel aroma and taste. Light bitterness in aftertaste, malty. It's the style of beer my mother would drink. (Velp 201606)

yeasty spice, raisiny sweetness, tofee, and chocolate in the nose and flavor, with just a little alcohol apparent. I'm shocked to see this so low (less than 40th percentile). I enjoyed it, though Bink Grand Cru is many times better (and many times more expensive). Smooth and highly drinkable.

Latte head leaves an inch of thick lace on top of a nice dark brown fluid. Spice notes on the tongue with hints of citrus, prunes, mustiness and figs blend with a caramel balance. This reminded me of Leffe, only not as sweet. It had a raisin like, semi dry aftertaste to it as well. A typical Belgian bruin!

Dark reddish brown with a fluffy tan-coloured foam. Yeast, salty licorice, milky chocolate and herbs in the aroma. Yeasty and rather spicy flavour of salty licorice, biscuits, soil, yeast with some interesting oily hop notes. Medium bodied. Medium bitter and rather hoppy finish of grass, anise and juniper with nutty and undertones.

Pours out a earthy brown color, nice head. First impressions on aroma was light brown sugar and some raisins. A soft mouthfeel gave way to a plummy and yeasty beer. Nothing complex, but easy drinking just the same. Not bad.

Bottled. Ruby red colour, small beige head. Sweet caramel, plum and malt in aroma. Plum, dryness, paper and malt in flavour. Not as sweet as many other bruins, nice one in that way. A bit boring in length though.

This one looked good, nice brown color (abbey like) and a decent head with an aroma that was fruity (apples and cherries?). Flavor was unfortunately not assertive on any front. What was it trying to be? Somewhat like a light dubbel with a touch of flemish sour-sweetness, but weak all around. Not my idea of an expensive import.

This overpriced stuff has little to recommend. Pours a sickly brown with slightly yellow highlights and no head. Looks like day old coffee. Aroma of grapes and a little molasses. The taste was slightly sweet grape juice with soy sauce and vinegar dominating. Has a finish like trying to eat an apple core. Truly a bad experience all around.

Bottle: Poured an hazy dirty brown looking ale with a medium head with average retention. Aroma is a mix between Belgian yeast and some malt. Taste is lighter then expected with again the Belgian yeast dominating that one with some enjoyable floral aspect. A bit disappointing or maybe just a middle of the pack Belgian Ale but nothing to write home about.

a very nice, not too strong example of a belguim style brown beer, maybe a little subtle for some. only 5.5% but lots of fleeting burnt chocolate flavours smooth and dry with a slightly brown head good for a session.
