This big, rich IPA features Simcoe hops which give it both a fruity, piney hop nose and a clean, ringing bitterness. IN-between, the malt flavor is slightly caramel for a touch of malt sweetness. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops.

I find this one of my favorite beers. Well balance hops/malt mix. excellent aroma and flavor, very good brewing company. I always pick up a six pack or 12 mix either on sale or not. Definetly one of my favorites!

An amber color with a white head. The aroma contains some citrus, perfume, and caramel. The flavor is maltier than most IPAs with a strong caramel presence showing through. There is some grapefruit in there also. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. Overall its ok but not great.

Pours a brown/orangeish color. Smell is of piney hops, a touch of citrus. Taste is also full of piney hops, considerable bitterness, a touch of malts at the finish. Overall a decent beer but nothing special.

pours with a nice amber color with a nice white head that hangs around for a while. It had a nice fruity hoppy aroma with a pleasent taste (with a hint of grapefruit). Beer was nicely carbonated and was very enjoyable to drink. A very nice IPA. I would certanily drink more of this if it were available in my area.

Big Sky, the easy drinking IPA. Not too bold, may not be enough for the hard to please IPA conosiure, but has enough charater to introduce the IPA style to the beginner.

This tastes like goat piss. Maybe that's why they put one one the bottle. To honor the stag who's balls got milked to make this swill. It has a super thick foam head. Fruity nose. Malty, piss flavor. Caramel with a touch of cat jizz. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops

I will be fair by stating that it could well be my sense of taste, but I offered Big Sky's I.P.A. to a friend and he too thought this ale was just awful. Now it could be that Big Sky is following a recipe originating in England but using homegrown veggies. In any event, I gave the remaining four of a six pack away to a friend who is waiting to give his remaining two beers to a third party. Maybe I just don't have an appreciation for I.P.A., or more accurately the palate for it. I thought it tasted like a sour grapefruit with a profound bitter aftertaste. If this was part of a soldier's pay in British occupied India in days of yore then I'm suprised they didn't desert. Big Sky is a terrific brewing company with a fantastic line of beers/ales. The I.P.A. I just don't get.

Wow, that was one fine IPA. The balance of all requisite characteristics were spot-on. Very drinkable and could be a really good go-to beer, but special enough for a special ocassion - as if one would ever be needed.

Pours with an amber body topped by a medium thick to thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and hoppy with lots of grapefruit and a little malt. Light to medium bodied, slightly dry and smooth.
