Monkey’s Fist Royal IPA has a rick and complex character, including four devious and flavourful varieties of hops, a lusty Maris Otter malt with an intriguing past, and a sensuous caramel malt with her own secrets to hide.

Bomber from Central City, labelled as "Dead Reckoning Royal IPA". Well, at least is looks nice, with a clear amber pour under a creamy beige head. The rest is...not so nice. Bland aroma, no suggestion at all that this is even a pretend IPA (hello, Keith's). Actually, the aroma suggests nothing. Mouth is okay. Typical malt-heavy Big Rock flavour; they must be inspired by Innis & Gunn's malt-mania. Couldn't call this an IPA by any stretch, more like an ESB. For that, it would be almost acceptable. Scarcely any trace of hop in the flavour, and any citrus or pine notes are just a dream. Unpleasant, sour finish.
