Belgian-Style Strong Ale – 10.6% ABV This is a big one too – named after our founding folks. We’ll let you figure out who’s who. A dark, complex, very strong Belgian ale with a delicious blend of malt richness, dark fruit flavors, and spicy elements. Complex, rich, smooth and dangerous. Aged in bourbon barrels for many months.

I had a 2-oz sample of this beer right out of the tap at Big Lick Brewing Company in Roanoke, VA. Even with a small sample, this was a BIG beer. The barrel aging is ever present - lots of wood and whiskey with hints of spicy rye. Behind the barreling was fig, raisin, banana, clove, and biscuit and bread. A good beer - would be great to get a bottle of this and sit on it for a year or two. I believe this beer would age sensationally.
