Taps clear amber with a good ivory head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma presents piney hops, fresh malt, a hint of fruit. Flavor features piney and slightly bitter hops, tangy grapefruit, zesty malt. Texture yields fair body and fizz. Go big and go red.

RAM Restaurant. Opaque red copper, white lacing foam ring. Hoppy aroma, bitter taste, initial sweet, changing quickly into bitterness. Lasting taste. (Chicago 201510)

Had on Draft as Humperdinks Big Red IPA, in dallas .. . Saved this one for last, and it was the best of the lot .. . Pours a light gold tan.. medium foam .. . good dose of bitterness .. quite a light IPA, but still could do the job.. .. . I want to set the record straight. I thought the cop was a prostitute.

a nice solid ipa. bitter and aromatic. not overly exciting, but nothing bad either. well balanced and dry in the finish with a little citrus and a little spice and biscuit malt.

Poured an amber red with a white/tan head. Not much of a head or but decent lacing. Smelled of piney/citrusy hops. Flavor was good...refreshing and hoppy although I was expecting a little bit more hop bite since this is an American IPA. Overall a very good brew that I would definitely enjoy again. This was on tap at CB & Potts in Louisville, CO.

Sampled... and then some... in Tacoma on 12-28-09. A very nice IPA by any measure and a stellar performer when placed against the other offerings from Big Horn in Tacoma. A nice coppery amber with a great head that lingers a bit and produces excellent lacing. Flavor abounds and the extra hoppiness does not dissappoint, yet remains incredibly balanced. Enjoyable and well worth a try.

A generous gift from my dear friend Emilee :) An attractive reddish-copper colour with an always decent white head with excellent retention. Very nice lacing scattered along the glass. soft citrus fruit, well balanced hop character, a little earth and nice fruit flavor.

Sampled on draft at Humperdinks in Arlington, Tx. Quite a pedestrian IPA. Could benefit from a more bitter flavor profile. The hops used in this ale are quite piney and herbal - not my favorite for the style, but flavor hops are certainly present for those wanting a hop fix. A decent beer.

Sampled from growler brought by Dansting's mom. Great hoppy aroma. Pours a nice clear red with a thick head. Flavor is full and bitter. This is a really good IPA. Would definitely have this again.

Growler from the Schaumburg, Illinois location. Poured a clear amber color with a medium thick head. Very sweet, fruity aroma. Mouthfeel was good. Flavor was nice and hoppy, yet not too bitter to appeal more to the masses. A nice IPA, especially for a chain brewpub.
