What happens when you take The Darkness our mainline Stout and lager it instead? Our brewers wondered this question and now we have Long Dark Night. We took the same Darkness recipe and treated it like a lager. What has happened has lead to a brew bursting with coffee, chocolate and roasted barley flavours, while the hop character has taken on more of a supportive role. Easy drinking and perfect for today's amazing sunshine.

Can that pours a real dark brown colour with a little copper highlights. The head is warm mocha-coloured, frothy, with decent stay and some creamy lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of coffee and chocolate. The hops are present in the flavours, but milder than most of their beers, creating a nice dry finish that helps the drinkability. Roasted malt again, lighter coffee and a tad of molasses, dark fruits. A very nice take on the original The Darkness, which has the alcohol content, but easier to drink. This is quite good !
