Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

Bottled@Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is tomatosauce-pizza-spices as well as some wheat and caramel. Flavour is being very similar with some herbal notes. Probably rather old bottle (drank during summer 2010).

Pours a cloudy pale yellow. There was a strong citrus/lemon aroma with a light grassy note. The mouthfeel was particularly thin and the flavor was not very appealing. Definitely a miss by Berhoff.

Sampled on draught at Orton Park festival this past weekend: Pours a semi hazey, bright golden colour with a full fluffy white head. Dissipates rather quickly, aroma is sweet with hints of tropical fruit and grass. Taste is creamy, a little dull in some parts- overall a pretty refreshing brew.

A disappointing effort from the all-too-mediocre Berghoff line. Lightly hazy pale yellow in color with a thin disappearing white bubbly head. The aromas are of cider and light spice, but with a faint wet cardboard smell. Light and thin palate with sharp sour edges. Mild taste of fruit; citrus and sour apples; no yeast at all. The tart finish fades fast. This is more like a poorly-flavored cider that a weizen. MUSIC: Honey Honey by Feist

Nice wheat beer especially for an Ameican beer. Pale yellow and cloudy in colour, lite head, on tap it is excellent. Like the other Berghoff wheat beer it can use something to spice it up. You can taste a hint of citrus in it. Nice ending. Very light. No bad after taste. A nice American Wheat Beer.

Hazy orange/gold color and very well carbonated, with just a moderate head but good lacing on the way down. Aroma-bananas all over the place. Light bodied and with a spritzy mouthfeel, the flavor was fruity and sweet with lots of clove and very little citrus acidity. Typical short finish with just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. A respectable American brewed Hefeweizen that IMO stands up to many of the German versions.

I definetely liked this beer. I haven't had it from the tap, which i hear is much better than the bottle. Still though, this was as solid of an hefe weizen as i've had from the u.s.
