In life, Jutsu is all about stealthy ninja techniques (well actually techniques, skills, methods, tricks, or spells according to Wikipedia) but in beer it’s a fantastically balanced pale ale. Easy drinking with low bitterness. And if Jutsu is the talented sidekick, Double Jutsu is the dazzling superhero. Early in 2016 we devised a plan to take our fan favourite pale ale, and bump up the alcohol and dry hop. What has emerged is a refreshing, balanced, but juicy IPA that provides a more intense hop experience.

The beer pours a hazy yellow colour with a thin white head which sticks around. Lacing is weak. The aroma is grassy malts, yeast, and orange juice. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a average carbonation. The flavour is a ton of orange, biscuit malts, yeast, and a mild hoppy finish. Not a bad IIPA. -

Hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The head is frothy, bubbly, off-white with average retention and foamy lacing spots. Big orange juice aromas with some spicy grassy hops, honey and hints of peach. Citrus peel in the taste with some decent bitterness, dryness, spicy-grassiness. A nice juicy DIPA with more bitterness than most.

Picked up a bottle at the brewery. Pours a good size frothy off-white head and has a slightly hazy golden amber appearance. Leaves some thick dirty lacing all around. Quite excessive carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruits, floral and citrus notes. Flavours are very fruity, lots of tropical notes, mangos, oranges, hints of berries, a little bit yeasty. Nice hoppy bitterness in the finish and not too offensive as well. Great retention. Great stuff!
