India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Clear dark yellow, off-white lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter taste. Like it, but still surprised by the high rates other give this beer. (Houston 201705)

Smells like candied hops. Pours pale and thick. Great mouthfeel. Flavor is complex and incredible. Rock candy and hops. Finish is the slightest bit sour. I could drink this stuff all day.

Hazy/golden colour pour. The head retains well and leaves loads or lacing. Sweet breaded malt and floral aroma. Flavour is piney, floral lemon and melon. Medium mouthfeel. Rated this the same as Bear Republic Racer 5,although for different qualities. Prefer Racer 5.If it only it looked better?

Deep amber pour with a thin white head. Ton of lace left on the glass. Nice hop presence along with grapefruit and floral notes. Clean, crisp and very refreshing. The folks at Bells have some really great beers.

This was the first IPA that I've ever tried and it's going to be a tough one to beat! I always have a 6'er of this on hand to enjoy. Fruity aroma on the head and nice alcohol legs. Nice and bitter and really hits the taste buds! What can I say, I'm a hop-head now thanks to this beer. Can't wait to try Bell's Hopslam soon.

Sampled this beer at the pub. Pours out a hazy amber color with a massive head, the retention is almost perfect because a little head remains throughout. The aroma is full of pungent pine like hops. The taste is that of intense hop bitterness along with pine, citrus, and floral notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and finishes dry and bitter.

There is nothing wrong with this beer. It is perfect. It is beervana. Just to let you know how much I think it was beervana. I had been on Isle Royale for five days (no beer) and at the time I tolerated beer. It was something that I could try and if I put lime and salt in it I could tolerate it. corona, if they didn;t have corona I didnt try it. When I got off of Isle Royale I drove through the u.p. of michigan. At some place between ontanagan and white pine (this is really nowhere) my wife and I stopped for dinner and I wanted a corona but no corona but the waitress recommended a bell;s two hearted ale. I begrudgingly tried it and my world exploded. It was the best beer I had ever drank. It was so good I couldn;t believe it. I drove my wife nuts with how many times I said on the remaining two an d a half hour drive home how much I loved that beer. I couldnt believe it. It took almost two more years to get back to craft beers but when I did I figured out it was ipas I like the most and when I finally got to a city big enough to have quality beers and finally got a sixer of two hearted ale, was surprised to find that it was what I had been searching for all along and IPA. Whooooo - hooooooo bells two hearted ale.

The only slight detractions to the beer are the slightly cloudy appearance and the somewhat light mouthfeel. The hops really make up for all of that though and this rounds out to be a very good beer that is easy to drink.

I have a couple more of these so I might have to rate it again. It is ranked really high. But it not better than blind pig or Odells IPA.
Good citrus floral nose with some citrus and malt. Pours a golden orange color with some white head. Medium body with good carbonation and a nice crisp finish. Citrus up front with a good hop finish and some malt. -

Had this on tap at Red's Alehouse in North Liberty, IA. Pours a nice orange with a thick white head. Nice lacing around the glass, nice citrus hop aroma. The flavor is nice and hoppy with grapefruit and lemons. Amazing beer! Good stuff!
