Distinctly hop-forward, Roundhouse IRA possesses substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions & dry-hopping, yielding a heady blend of fruit-like aromas such as pineapple, peach, and the citrus family. These notes continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted & caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate. Rather, the malt body lends a slight caramel undertone to the beer, creating a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together.

Poured a nice foam top, lots of nice aromas. The color was the nicest red color i think i have ever seen in beer, brilliant red.The flavor was nice and had a good finish. Definitely know its a bell's product. Well done with this brew.

On tap @ Yellow Dog Eats in Gotha, FL. I thought this was a basic red ale when I was drinking it. Didn't really notice much hops, or medium at best....nothing like an IPA. More of a honey rye ale. Pours a clearer lighter red/amber appearance. Lighter to medium malt. I'd say balanced towards the sweeter side. Good beer, but sort of forgetable.

Comes out of the tap a semi-transparent mahogany - I didn’t get much head, but that is an artifact of the pour. Aroma is monumentally hoppy, equal parts woody and evergreen, will get any IPA fan’s mouth a-waterin’! Flavor is hoppy, hoppy and hoppy - with a hint of, is that rye? Citrus undertone is equal parts Mandarin orange and grapefruit. Texture has firm body and lots of fizz, leaving a very hoppy and tingly finish.
