Still in Belize, and not a whole lot of variety- that's ok this beer i can have many of. Pours a dark brownish black colour with a small tan head. Slightly nutty but for the most part just a little darker then the regular PL. Satisfying, rich and does the trick.

Dark brown to black in color, nice chocolate-tan initial head, but it dissipated within a minute to near nothing, swirling the only means to regenerate something pretty. Lacing was weak in my stout pint glass. The aroma was grassy (green bottled Euro Pilsner import-like), light roast, and a little bit of skunk. The flavor was better than the aroma, coming off almost like a foreign stout, acidity/astringency, light sour notes, roasted chocolate, yet most notably a bitter grassy hop aspect to it all, must be some Saaz in here? Finish has a bitterness to it, really keeps this thing interesting, but I'm not a huge fan of Saaz/grass in my stouts. With warming temperatures, richer flavors (although not stellar within style), but still finishing with an odd bitter bite. Mouthfeel besides acidic, was somewhat thin, yet well carbonated. Bert, thanks for sending this bottle my way. A cool experience, and far superior to the average swill required to score these long distant countries!

I had the Belikin Beer first and had wondered about the 6.5% stout on the bottle. When I actually found the Stout it made sense. They reuse the bottles and distinguish the type by bottle cap color. The beer itself is pretty good. Nice flavor but not overly bitter.
