Sweet malt, toffee and caramel and a touch of roasted malt is balanced by the clean fresh hop. Very full bodied but easy drinking with a pleasant bitterness ? smooth, rich and malty. Malt: pale, Black Hops: Challenger, Goldings

355 ml capped and translucent bottle. Poured in an English half pint a dark brown-red coloured Stout with a one finger beige and soapy foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is faint roasted malts, light coffeish and surprising watery. The flavour is sweety and roasted malts, caramel, note of chocolate , fruits, raisins plums and nuts. The mouthfeel is round, quite thin and sweety. The texture is watery. This light bodied Stout has a dry sweety finish. Drinkable ? Anyway, but this Stout lacks of stuff.

330 ml clear bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.1%. Mahogany coloured beer, large and creamy beige head. Nice malty aroma, with a moderate roastiness, notes of mild coffee and a touch of wood and ashes. The flavour is malty and sweet, with more caramel than roastiness, minimal hops. Not your typical stout, but nice enough.

Very nice darkish brown color. Much nice foam, but it is not very stable. Aroma is alittle bit too watery, but still has somwe hints to caramel. Taste is a little bit bitterish, but not very strong. Would have a little bit more interesting nuances in taste. A little bit dissapointing.

Bottled. Dark brown with brownish head. Roasted malt in aroma with hints of caramel. Flavour is dominated by roast and caramel but also has some hints of cold and old coffee. A bit watery for being a stout. (6 4 6 3 11)
Bottled. (re-rate Dec 2006). Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, raisins and slight hops. Flavour is plum, raisins, dry dark fruit and malts. Sadly almost no roast in it, only some weak hints. Still a very nice stout, with aftertaste of flowery hops, plum and mild roastiness. Slightly highers rating now than in 2005. 7 4 6 4 13.
